Advanced Rejuvenation

Advanced Rejuvenation is a regenerative and natural medicine clinic on North East Avenue in Sarasota, Florida, founded by Dr John Lieurance. It has offered ketamine sessions alongside stem cell, ozone and oxygen therapies, but its current website no longer lists ketamine among its services.

Approach

The clinic has described its ketamine programme as three to four weeks long, with 8 to 16 sessions in all. Six of them were explorations of two to three hours, in which ketamine was given by intramuscular injection or suppository alongside psychotherapy; the rest were talking sessions for intake, preparation and integration. Patients sat in a reclining chair with the option of a weighted blanket, an eye mask and a custom soundtrack, sometimes after time in the CVAC oxygen pod, an ozone drip or acupuncture. The clinic says it avoids a sterile medical setting and treats setting and integration as central.

Who it is for

The ketamine programme was meant for patients who had tried other treatments without success. The wider practice focuses on chronic conditions such as Lyme disease, hearing loss, tinnitus and orthopaedic injuries.

Practical details

Prices for ketamine care were given as $500 to $3,900. The clinic offers 20-minute virtual consultations with a doctor for $95, and is open Monday to Friday.

Care and safety

Treatment began with a consultation in the office or by phone, then an in-office visit with a medical provider. Dr Lieurance is a doctor of chiropractic and a registered medical assistant; the website notes that he is a naturopath without a Florida licence. The team also includes a doctor of Oriental medicine and a registered nurse.
