Megan Ramos, MA, LPC
About
Megan Ramos, MA, LPC, is a somatic psychotherapist in Boulder, Colorado, who offers body-centred therapy and low-dose ketamine-assisted psychotherapy through her practice, Soul Reflection Healing Arts. She sees clients in person in Boulder and by telehealth anywhere in Colorado.
Approach
Ramos holds an MA in body-centred psychotherapy and dance movement therapy from Naropa University and is licensed as a professional counsellor in Colorado. She completed the three-year Somatic Experiencing professional training, trained in EMDR and took a psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy training with Innate Path. Further courses include biodynamic craniosacral therapy, energy healing and shamanic practice with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. Her method lets the body lead: low doses of ketamine are used to loosen habitual defences so that a somatic process can unfold. In a dosing session the client lies down, with an optional eye mask, while she sits alongside.
Who it is for
She works with people dealing with trauma, early relational experiences and patterns passed down through families, as well as those who sense something they cannot yet name. She also offers psychedelic integration work.
Practical details
Somatic psychotherapy sessions last an hour to an hour and a half and start at $185. A ketamine-assisted session lasts about two hours and costs $370, including integration work. A free consultation of about 20 minutes comes first.
Care and safety
Ketamine work begins with a preparation session on intentions and personal history, sometimes with an intake form. She refers clients to one of a few prescribers, who assess them and write the prescription; clients then bring the medicine to the session and take it themselves.
