Christopher Corey, LMFT
About
Christopher Corey, LMFT, is a psychotherapist based in San Francisco, seeing clients in person and online. His practice covers psychotherapy and psychedelic integration. He describes a route into the work that draws on activism, academic training and a long involvement with esoteric traditions.
Background
Corey was a gay youth leader in Boston and an AIDS activist in New York. He studied at Columbia University and at the California Institute of Integral Studies, and has an ongoing involvement with the Western Mystery Tradition and the Hermetic sciences. Before this work he spent more than twenty years in the corporate world as a Director of Litigation Technology at three global law firms, and says that background gave him a close understanding of the demands people place on themselves in pursuit of success. His own description does not cover session formats, so what the work looks like in practice would be a question for a first conversation.
