Aimee Beyers, AMFT, APCC
About
I earned my MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles and am currently registered as an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, #136653, and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, #12978. I am supervised by Chrissy Comlish, LMFT #93513. I received in-depth training in Narrative/ Postmodern Therapy from Miracle Mile Community Practice. While at MMCP, I worked with a broad range of clients with concerns including; depression, anxiety, navigating multicultural identity, self-doubt, loneliness, body image, grief/loss, trauma, relationship concerns, career concerns, sexuality, family conflict, and life transitions. In addition, I am trained in the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM- Level 1) that addresses the somatic effects of stress caused by traumatic events. I am currently working toward a Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider (PATP) credential through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute.
Previously, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Houston where I studied vocal performance and music composition. For over a decade I’ve worked as a musician and songwriter along with roles in the fashion and film industries. As an immigrant, I’m familiar with complexities related to immigration, multicultural relationships, and navigating personal identity within a dominant culture. Because of my background, I am particularly fascinated with the exploration of the unknown and drawn to work with people who think creatively.
