Amanda (Mandi) Stevenson, MA, LMFT, is a marriage and family therapist in Millcreek, Utah, who offers psychedelic preparation and integration therapy through SoulSource Wellspace, a small collective of practitioners in the Salt Lake City area. She works with adults online and in Utah, and does not provide or facilitate psychedelic substances.

Approach

Stevenson studied modern dance and then counselling psychology. In 2014 she shifted her focus to adults with substance dependence and mental health concerns, with roles from primary therapist to clinical director in residential, intensive outpatient and outpatient programmes. She is certified in EMDR, holds a certificate from the California Institute of Integral Studies, has advanced training in preparation and integration from Polaris Insight Center, and also uses neurofeedback and aromatic practices. Her sessions draw on depth psychology, trauma-informed tools and creative methods, paced to the client’s nervous system.

She works with adults making sense of non-ordinary states, spiritual emergence or legal treatments such as ketamine, especially people who feel expanded but unsure how to move on. Trauma and substance use are part of her background, and couples sessions are available too.

Practical details

A free 15-minute discovery call comes first. An initial virtual consultation of an hour and a half costs $190 and ongoing 55-minute sessions $155; for couples the rates are $205 and $190. The collective has also run a virtual group integration series of five 75-minute sessions, at $50 a drop-in or $225 for all five.

Care and safety

Clients complete a detailed intake form on their history, mental health and any experience of non-ordinary states or ketamine treatment. In early sessions she assesses stability and support systems, and clients sign consent documents that set out her scope, including that she supplies no substances. Readiness is reviewed as sessions go on.
