Angela Balboa NBC-HWC
About
Angela Balboa is a board-certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC) and psychedelic coach who runs Big Life Wellness from The Sanctuary, an 11-acre property in Willis, north of Houston, Texas. She offers psychedelic preparation and integration, microdosing coaching and kambo alongside functional medicine and cognitive health coaching, in person and online.
Approach
She blends Western, Eastern and Indigenous approaches and treats body, mind and spirit together. Her training covers national board certification in health and wellness coaching, functional medicine coaching through FMCA, the ReCode protocol for cognitive health, a psychedelic coaching certificate, safety training as a kambo practitioner, sound healing, Reiki, core shamanism, end-of-life care and trauma-informed practice (SEP level 1), and she holds a BS in human nutrition. She came to the work after leaving a high-pressure executive career to rebuild her own health.
Who it is for
The psychedelic coaching is for people who intend to use plant or other alternative medicines, for healing or personal growth, and the microdosing coaching for those interested in psilocybin microdosing for anxiety, depression or creativity. As a death doula she also supports people and families facing the end of life. The Sanctuary hosts women’s retreats, restorative retreats for veterans and holistic support weekends for people with cancer, and qualifying veterans can receive her services free.
