Jenn Nelson

Jenn Nelson is a psychedelic and transformational coach based on Bainbridge Island, Washington, who works mainly by Zoom through her practice, Soulbloom Coaching. She offers preparation and integration coaching around psychedelic experiences, microdosing support and coaching for people in long-term recovery.

Approach

Nelson is certified as a psychedelic practitioner by the Psychedelic Coaching Institute, where she also assists as a facilitator, and as a somatic psychedelic facilitator by The EmbodyLab. She also holds transformational coaching and recovery coaching certifications and a psychology degree from Washington State University. She came to this work after a breast cancer diagnosis in 2017, at 33, and later stopped drinking with the help of a sober coach. Her coaching looks at underlying beliefs and habits, and clients may use whatever tools suit them, from meditation and breathwork to psychedelic medicines, which she says are not a magic cure.

Who it is for

She works with people facing major life transitions or feeling stuck, and with people in long-term recovery who want to deepen it. She does not coach early-stage addiction recovery and points those clients to other resources. Working with psychedelics is not required.

Practical details

Rates run from $150 to $200 an hour, and a free discovery call comes first. Psychedelic coaching covers intention setting, preparation, help choosing a medicine and a facilitator or retreat, and integration afterwards. Microdosing coaching starts with a baseline assessment and goals, includes guidance on substances, doses and protocols, and continues with calls every two weeks. Local clients can meet her in person.
