Janice McInnes

Janice McInnes is a psychedelic integration coach and certified consultant herbalist in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, who helps clients across North America prepare for psychedelic experiences and integrate them afterwards. She has coached since earning her integration certification in 2020 and works by phone, Zoom, WhatsApp or Signal.

Approach

She does not run ceremonies or provide medicines; her work covers the stages around them. Preparation explores intentions and physical, mental and emotional readiness and, where needed, how to choose a facilitator. Integration unpacks insights and turns them into practical steps, with a transcript session for recorded retreats. She came to this from an herbal practice begun in the late nineties, whose training led her into Ayurveda, shamanism and traditional Indigenous practices, and from 20 years as a supplement adviser. She works from a harm reduction model.

Practical details

A single 60-minute session costs $150 (USD), with plans of 3, 6 or 12 sessions from $450 to $1,700. The 3-session retreat package costs $450 and the 5-session package $750, and a ketamine integration package for a standard six-treatment course costs $450. A six-week group microdosing programme with weekly Zoom calls costs $499. A free 30-minute discovery call comes first, and coaching is not covered by insurance.

Care and safety

For a retreat, preparation starts one to two weeks ahead, and integration begins within two days of returning home, with a check-in the following week and a closing session four to six weeks later. Text support starts at sign-up. She notes that coaching is an unlicensed field and that facilitators are responsible for medicines, dosing and medical safety.
