Confluence Retreats
About
Confluence Retreats runs legal psilocybin retreats near Ashland in southern Oregon, under Oregon’s regulated psilocybin programme. It is a partnership between Omnia Group Ashland, a licensed psilocybin service centre, and the nonprofit Hi-U Foundation, and its main offer is a five-day group retreat with two sessions.
Approach
Founder Myles Katz co-founded the Synthesis Institute, which ran legal retreats in the Netherlands until 2023, and has held an Oregon facilitator licence since April 2024. Both sessions take place at the Omnia Group centre in Ashland, with one licensed facilitator for every two participants. The first dose is 15 mg of psilocybin; the second can reach 30 mg, agreed with each person beforehand. Breathwork, yoga, forest bathing and integration circles fill the other days.
Who it is for
Participants must be 21 or older under Oregon law, and both newcomers and experienced users are welcome. Under Oregon rules the service does not diagnose or treat health conditions, and the organisers suggest pairing it with therapy or coaching.
Practical details
The five-day retreat costs $6,400 for up to eight people, covering four nights in shared forest cabins, meals, facilitation and transfers from Medford airport. A private three-day retreat costs $4,900 and a one-day session $3,200. From December to March the retreats move to Lavender Estate, a 35-acre property above Ashland. Limited scholarships take about 10% off.
Care and safety
A health screener reviewed by professionals precedes a free exploration call, and the team may decline anyone it cannot support safely. Medications are reviewed with psychedelic-friendly pharmacists and doctors. The team includes a licensed counsellor and a psychiatric nurse, and a medic is on site during sessions. Preparation starts two to four weeks ahead with two 90-minute group workshops and a one-to-one session, and integration afterwards follows the same pattern. The mushrooms are lab tested and grown by state-licensed manufacturers.
