Megan Holleran, LCMHC
About
Megan Holleran is a licensed therapist and psychedelic integration practitioner in Melbourne, Florida. All of her work happens online: therapy for residents of Florida and Vermont, and coaching and integration support for clients anywhere.
Approach
After September 11th, Holleran spent more than a decade working in conflict-affected countries in the Middle East; back home she trained as a counsellor and saw adults and teenagers in community mental health. Her approach is trauma-informed and somatic, drawing on mindfulness, CBT, DBT and harm reduction. Before a psychedelic experience she works with clients on intentions, fears and coping strategies; afterwards she helps them carry what came up into daily life. She has also completed the initiation rites of the Peruvian Q’ero lineage as a shamanic practitioner.
Who it is for
Her focus is high-achieving women dealing with anxiety, burnout, major life transitions or perimenopause and midlife. Her integration work is for people who use ketamine or plant medicine, or who sit with an Indigenous healer, newcomers and experienced users alike.
Practical details
For therapy she is in network with BCBS, Aetna, Oscar, Oxford and United Healthcare in Florida, and with BCBS, Cigna and MVP in Vermont; self-pay sessions cost $125. Integration sessions have cost $175 each, three for $420 or eight for $880, with reduced rates for veterans, military personnel, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC clients. A free 15-minute consultation is available, and intake paperwork covers mental and physical health history.
Care and safety
Holleran has been a licensed mental health counsellor in Florida since 2021 and a licensed clinical mental health counsellor in Vermont since 2015, and she holds an MS in clinical mental health counselling from the University of Vermont.
