Sari Neave, LCSW

Sari Neave is a licensed social worker and therapist in New York State who offers integration for psychedelic and ketamine experiences alongside general therapy and coaching. Her sessions are online, and she also runs an integration group in Briarcliff Manor.

Approach

Neave holds a master of social work from Fordham University and is licensed by New York State. She calls her style direct, supportive and collaborative: sessions help clients clarify what matters to them, question the beliefs that hold them back and act on what they learn. Her methods include ACT, CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, emotionally focused and solution-focused therapy, and psychedelic harm reduction. Psychedelic work has three phases: preparation to set intentions and address concerns, the experience itself, and integration to make sense of it and apply it in daily life. She is active in the psychedelic community and continues to study the field.

Her specialties are eating disorders, relationships and life transitions, and she also works with trauma, depression, burnout and self-worth. She sees teenagers, adults and older adults, as individuals, couples, families or groups. Her groups include one for women in their twenties and thirties, a caregiver support group and a psychedelic and ketamine integration group.

Practical details

Individual sessions are $200 and are paid by Venmo or Zelle, with a superbill for out-of-network insurance claims. The women’s group meets on Monday evenings from $50, and the caregiver group costs $30 to $50. A free consultation by phone comes first.

Care and safety

After the consultation, the intake covers background, goals and concerns, may include a psychological assessment, and uses consent forms that set out the process and the client’s rights.
