Homecoming

Homecoming was the original name of the women-only psilocybin retreat run by Women Are The Medicine in North Holland, the Netherlands; the current version is called the Deep Dive. It takes place at a historic venue in nature about an hour from Schiphol airport, and earlier editions used an address in Hippolytushoef.

Approach

The founders, Nasreen El-Mariesh (Naz) and Rachel Lawlan, both hold coaching certification from the Psychedelic Coaching Institute, where they have also taught; Lawlan is a narrative coach too, and Naz has organised retreats in Marrakech, Sri Lanka and Europe. The ceremony is held by three women, among them Nina Badoux, an Amsterdam psilocybin facilitator, musician and EMDR therapist on the board of the Guild of Guides Netherlands. The programme spans six weeks: a one-to-one intake and a group call beforehand, five days on site with a full preparation day, one truffle ceremony with live music and a cacao ceremony, then a group integration circle and a one-to-one call.

Who it is for

The retreat is open only to women, including those who have never taken psychedelics. The organisers describe it as coaching rather than therapy, meant for women who are fundamentally well, and say it is not the right setting during an acute mental health crisis.

Practical details

The next retreat runs from 12 to 16 October 2026 for up to 12 women. It costs £2,500 in a shared ensuite twin room, with a £500 supplement for a single room; a non-refundable 25% deposit secures a place and payment plans are available. Vegetarian meals and a group transfer from Schiphol are included, and extra integration coaching starts at £900.

Care and safety

Places are by application, and everyone is medically screened before acceptance. The organisers note that psilocybin truffles are legal in the Netherlands.
