Chess Edwards is a spiritual development coach and meditation teacher in Sedona, Arizona, who calls himself a self-realisation guide. He works with breathwork, meditation, non-dual teaching and psychedelic experiences, through private retreats in Sedona and online coaching.
Approach
Edwards says he has guided people for more than 40 years and has spent the past decade devoted to spiritual awakening. He trained as a life coach with CTI and in breathwork with Breath is Life, and holds a psychedelic coaching certification. His method, which he calls True Self Inquiry, looks at childhood wounding and habitual identity alongside practices for quieting the mind. Before a psychedelic experience he reviews the client’s life as a whole and spends at least a day clarifying intentions. Integration afterwards takes at least 6 hours of coaching, weekly or every other week.

Practical details
Online clients commit to at least three months, and most work with him for 6 to 12 months. Rates are $200 to $300 an hour, lower for engagements of three months or more, and a free 30-minute discovery call comes first. He also sells online courses, among them Beyond The Noise and the Empowered Meditation Toolkit, and offers a free e-book.
