Farshid Farrahi, MD, is a psychiatrist and embodiment coach in Dublin, California, who works under the name Soul Alchemy. He guides psychedelic-assisted sessions with ketamine or other medicines, with preparation and integration, and also offers holistic psychiatry, coaching and Open Floor dance.
Approach
Farrahi holds an MD from the University of California and has over ten years of integrative psychiatry, both in private practice and for the City and County of San Francisco. He trained in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy with PRATI and completed Beckley Academy’s foundations course in psychedelic-assisted therapy. An Open Floor International movement facilitator, he brings movement, meditative inquiry and body awareness into every stage. A typical course is two or three one-hour preparation sessions, a three-hour medicine session with chosen music, and two or three one-hour integration sessions.

His site addresses people who are stable and functioning well but feel blocked, among them spiritual seekers, therapists, creatives and healers. He welcomes BIPOC, immigrant and queer or gender-diverse clients, and specialises in first- and second-generation immigrants and people with developmental trauma.
Practical details
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he offers preparation and integration online and medicine sessions in person or remotely. Medicine sessions cost $900 to $1,800 by medicine and length, and preparation or integration $300 an hour. Coaching is $300 to $375 a session, a psychiatric evaluation $375 to $750 and follow-ups $250 to $350. A few sliding-scale places exist, and a free 20-minute discovery call comes first.
Care and safety
Clients then complete two intake forms on psychiatric, medical, social and trauma history, intentions and consent. For ketamine, Farrahi arranges medical clearance and a prescription through an internal medicine doctor, and preparation covers somatic resources, boundaries and expectations for the day. His site describes the sessions as legal.
