About
I can help you to listen deeply to yourself, to learn to treat yourself kindly and with a keen ear for what is most important for being your fullest self. You don’t have to be ruled by self-criticism, fear or past hurts. If you are struggling with painful thoughts, memories, sense of self, life choices, or relationships, I can help you find greater clarity and choices that support you to be your most authentic self. My style is warm and cheer-leading of your deepest knowing and fullest expression of yourself. I tend to be transparent and educational in the work we do together so that you have tools to bring into your life for when you are struggling. I intend to put the choices and methods of our work into your hands vs my holding the keys in a way that would promote dependence and disempowerment. I bring a commitment to social justice and awareness of the many ways systemic oppression impacts individual development and sense of safety. I am available to learn and discuss what you need to feel empowered in the co-creation of our work together. I honor the unfolding of your innermost guidance. I prefer to think of my patients and myself as fellow travelers, a term that abolishes distinctions between ‘them’ (the afflicted) and ‘us’ (the healers). … We are all in this together, and there is no therapist and no person immune to the inherent tragedies of existence.
