Lotte Merijn

Lotte Merijn is a coach who guides one-to-one psilocybin truffle ceremonies with FLO Coaching in Anna Paulowna, in the North Holland countryside about an hour north of Amsterdam. She runs the practice with psychologist Floris Wolswijk, and also coaches women on self-development through acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and yoga.

Approach

Merijn trained as a child and developmental therapist at Inholland, then in CBT, ACT and yin yoga, and has more than 11 years of experience as a therapist, with a focus on women’s health. Wolswijk studied psychology at Erasmus University and founded Blossom, a psychedelic research platform; clients choose their guide. A ceremony day begins with a preparation session and a dose of truffles tailored to the guest. A guide stays throughout the four to five hours the experience lasts on average.

Who it is for

FLO addresses people whose lives are largely in order but who miss real fulfilment or connection, and runs ceremonies designed for women. Merijn’s coaching focuses on perfectionism, insecurity and a negative self-image. Screening rules out people on antidepressants or antipsychotics, those with a personal or family history of psychosis, anyone with acute PTSD, severe depression, high blood pressure, epilepsy or heart problems, and pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Practical details

The Exploration package costs €750, or €500 each for a duo, and covers screening, a preparatory coaching session, the ceremony, a phone follow-up the next day, meals and an optional night in the garden house. The Deep Dive package, at €1,250, adds five coaching sessions. Sessions are in Dutch or English, after a free introductory call.

Care and safety

FLO is a member of the Guild of Guides Nederland, a professional body for guides of legal psychedelic sessions, and follows its ethical code. It also belongs to the Balanskliniek, a health platform run by psychiatrist Bram Bakker.
