UNIUN

UNIUN, short for Unbound Network for Integrative Unfolding and Navigation, is a community founded by Niko Whitefeather that runs psilocybin ceremonies, retreats, classes and workshops. Its six-day retreats have been held in Crestone, Colorado, most recently in October 2024, and at Flathead Lake in Montana in April 2025. Its current events take place mainly at The Inner Space, Whitefeather’s yurt outside Camas, WA.

Approach

UNIUN calls its model psychospiritual, drawing on psychology, spiritism, animism, mysticism and earth-based traditions. A six-day retreat has included two psilocybin ceremonies, the second a deeper session with an optional higher dose, alongside yoga, breathwork, restorative movement and guided inner work, with optional energy work, IFS, massage and art on the rest days.

Who it is for

UNIUN names anxiety, depression, highly sensitive people and psychospiritual growth among its focus areas. Beyond retreats it holds free community gatherings in person and online, including a monthly full moon fire, as well as breathwork evenings, overnight ceremonies, kambo circles and multi-week programmes.

Practical details

Retreats have taken 8 to 15 people and cost $4,250 to $5,000, covering airport transfers, a private room with its own bathroom and organic meals cooked on site. UNIUN does not supply the psilocybin; it directs participants to a supplier that ships from a decriminalised state to the retreat centre. Care and safety

Applicants fill in an in-depth intake form and are screened for physical, medication-related and psychological contraindications, and for whether their circumstances suit the work. Two individual preparation sessions and a group one come before a retreat, two integration sessions take place on site, and individual and group integration follows. Staff hold first aid and CPR certificates, and a doctor is on call.
