About
I am a depth psychologist and transformational coach who specializes in holistic and integrative mental health and the intersection of western psychology and the liberatory and shamanic traditions.
Born into Catholicism and the notion that I needed a middleman to connect to Source, I became disengaged from the sacred for many decades until, in July of 2000, I had what is known in the religious studies literature as a pure consciousness event. In that fraction of a moment, an immediate incontrovertible knowledge arose, that in addition to what appears on the surface of reality, beyond what we can perceive with our five physical senses, everything is interconnected and interdependent, with an essence that seems to be an all-knowing luminosity.
This perceptual shift did not simultaneously eradicate the deeper patterns of my dualistic conditioning, though it did infuse me with the determination to do so.
Shortly thereafter I was exposed to the depth psychology of Carl Jung and the Yoga philosophy of Patañjali and in 2003, I discovered the healing potential in Nature’s medicine, including psilocybin, and the shamanic traditions also became a part of my path.
I hold two degrees, a Masters degree in Statistics from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and a Doctorate in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California.
Additionally, I am also a Certified Professional Coach, Certified Yoga Teacher and author of several academic papers and the book Consciousness in Jung and Patañjali.
